The Real Deal: Round-trip airfare and three nights' accommodation, from $299 per person — plus taxes of about $85.

When: Depart Feb. 1, 3, 13, 24, March 1, 10, 11, 2008; additional dates available.

Gateways: New York City; add $40 for Boston, Buffalo, Charlotte, Chicago, D.C., Rochester, Syracuse; $200 for Long Beach and Oakland; additional cities available.

The fine print: Hotel taxes are included. Airport taxes and fuel surcharges start at about $85 per person and vary based on U.S. gateway. Airport-hotel transfers are not included, but can be added for about $28 per person. Based on double occupancy; single supplement is $251. Read these guidelines before you book any Real Deal.

Book by: Jan. 31, 2008.

Contact: JetBlue, 800/538-2583, jetblue.com.

Why it's a deal: JetBlue is touting the Bermuda getaway as offering a $300 companion air credit. The $300 savings is reflected in the price of $299 per person, based on double occupancy (instead of the non-sale rate of about $449 per person). For comparison purposes, consider, too, that the lowest round-trip fare we found on Kayak between New York City and Bermuda in early February is $305 (Continental). You'll save $6 — and get your three-night resort stay covered — if you book JetBlue's air/hotel package instead.

Trip details: The Bermuda Getaway package includes round-trip nonstop airfare on JetBlue to Hamilton, Bermuda's capital and a busy port full of shops and English-style pubs, along with a three-night stay. You'll check in to the 21-acre Grotto Bay Beach Resort, set along three private beaches and offering tennis courts, a pool, nightly entertainment, and a less typical amenity: two 500,000-year-old underground caves that you can swim through.

Bermuda is a semitropical island, and in winter and spring, temperatures dip more here than on most Caribbean islands. Through March, temperatures tend to be in the 60s and 70s Fahrenheit, meaning that you'll want to pack layers.

Before you go, check the local forecast at BudgetTravel.com. And for more information and tips on what to see and do, visit Bermuda's official tourism Web site.

And don't forget your passport! U.S. citizens traveling to Bermuda by air are now required to show a passport.
