Danny is still a tropical storm

Danny continues to churn in the open waters of the western Atlantic Ocean.

Danny remains a tropical storm with slow strengthening expected over the next day or so. As of this morning, it was centered at 27.4N, 72.1W, with max winds of 60mph. It's moving NW at 10mph...and it could possibly strengthen to a category 1 hurricane off the Virginia coast by the end of this week. Yet, the winds above Danny are expected to increase as it moves north by the weekend...which isn't favorable for its development. It also looks like Danny may be absorbed by a trough of low pressure that's going to push off the east coast by the weekend as well. It's highly possible that Danny will become a non-tropical low by the time it makes it north towards the New England Coast. It's no threat to our area.
