Paralegal association meeting set
Bucks County Community College students and alumni recently started a paralegal association.
The group's goal is to network with other legal support staff.
Members do not have to be paralegals or BCCC students. The next meeting will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Sept. 15 at the Bucks County Bar Association, 135 E. State St. in Doylestown.
The annual membership fee is expected to be about $55 to fund rentals and scholarships.

Bucks County Community College is offering an eight-week course to become a locomotive engineer or conductor.
It's designed for entrance into a training program at a public transportation authority or freight rail line.
Mark Mattis, senior training specialist with NJ Transit, said engineers can earn between $40,000 and $50,000 a year. After two years of training and certification, salaries range from $60,000 to $100,000.
Mattis will be answering questions about the class at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 15 on the college's Newtown Township campus, 275 Swamp Road. The program will be held twice a week from Sept. 26 to Nov. 17.
