Palm Beach airport concourse briefly evacuated

A concourse at Palm Beach International Airport was evacuated for about an hour Monday after a bomb threat, WPTV reported.

A concourse at Palm Beach International Airport was evacuated for about an hour Monday after a bomb threat, WPTV reported.

The airport received a threatening phone call shortly before 5:30 p.m., TSA spokeswoman Sari Koshetz told WPTV. In response, airport officials evacuated a JetBlue flight and the airport's Concourse C.

Security officials made a sweep of the concourse and the JetBlue plane, but no threat was discovered. The TSA, FBI and local law enforcement officials are investigating.

Passenger Gigi Brooks, who was aboard JetBlue flight 366 to LaGuardia, told WPTV that the plane was getting ready to take off when the pilot said everyone had to get off the plane. They were told to leave their luggage behind while law enforcement officials investigated.

Concourse C, which is also used by Air Canada, American Airlines, Com Air, and Sun Country, was evacuated as a precaution.

Travelers were allowed back into the concourse after about an hour, WPTV reported.

Information from NBC News affiliate WPTV in West Palm Beach, Fla., was included in this report.
