Beckman Coulter Selects Healthyroads to Provide Health Coaching and Wellness Programs to U.S. Employees

SAN DIEGO, Oct. 28, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- American Specialty Health (ASH), a leading provider of health and wellness programs, announced that medical testing equipment manufacturer Beckman Coulter has selected its Healthyroads subsidiary to provide health coaching and other programs to its 7,200 employees throughout the United States. The program is designed to help U.S. Beckman Coulter employees find the easiest path to better health.

Healthyroads wellness programs include Healthyroads Coaching^®, which is a telephone- and web-based lifestyle coaching program that helps members manage their weight, quit tobacco, or simply live healthier lives. In addition to being paired with a coach, Beckman Coulter employees will be able to take an online personal health assessment and track their progress on Healthyroads.com using interactive tools and trackers.

In addition to Healthyroads wellness programs, Beckman Coulter employees will have the opportunity to participate in additional wellness services, such as the Quest Diagnostics Blueprint for Wellness (), a health-risk assessment service that uses laboratory data to help individuals monitor their health and identify potential health risks for cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and other conditions as they relate to the individuals' long-term health goals.
