Thief tries to rob man of new 'Call of Duty' video game

Charges could be filed Tuesday against a man suspected of trying to rob another man after he drove home with the latest "Call of Duty" video game.

Charges could be filed Tuesday against a man suspected of trying to rob another man after he drove home with the latest "Call of Duty" video game.

According to a Kansas City police report, a 27-year-old told police that he went to the Game Stop after midnight to pick up his reserved copy of "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3." The man said he drove home to his apartment and an SUV pulled up behind his car in the parking lot.

The victim told police a man got out, pulled a gun, saying he had "racked a round" and demanded that he give him the game.

The man said he refused and there was a struggle for the gun. One round was fired. The victim was not hurt and called police for help.

Police said they got a description of the robber's red Ford Explorer and went back to the Game Stop to see if he had driven back there.

According to the police report, officers noticed a similar SUV in the parking lot. Police said they took an 18-year-old man into custody. Police later identified him as David Morales and said charges would be filed against him in connection with the robbery.
