BERKELEY COUNTY, WV - A Berkeley County Circuit Court Judge denied a motion to move the trial of a Virginia man accused of murdering a woman and her three-year-old son Friday.
The judge was not convinced the trial needed to be outside of Berkeley County, despite Antonio Prophet's defense attorney's request for a change of venue.
Prophet is allegedly responsible for the deaths of Angela Devonshire and her three-year-old son Andre White.
Court records say in February Prophet was indicted on two counts of first degree murder and one count of arson.
Prophet's trial is set to begin 9 a.m. Tuesday morning.
