The comedian said last year's tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary School caused a "change" in his "heart" for his violent role in a new film.
Comedic actor Jim Carrey said Sunday that he regrets his role as Col. Stars and Stripes in this summer’s superhero-themed film Kick-Ass 2, citing last year’s mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School.
Carrey tweeted that the tragedy caused a “change in my heart,” and he cannot support the film’s “violence.” He is unlikely to promote the film before its release this summer.
