More surgery lies ahead for a Cedar Hill police officer badly burned while responding to a call.
On Sunday, the department's Facebook page said officer Ann McSwain "received some unfortunate news yesterday. She learned that her wounds will require surgery to repair the damage. She will undergo surgery this week and will spend several more days in the hospital recovering. Please keep the prayers coming for her and her family."

On July 9, police say 27-year-old Terrance Dunn ran from officers while setting himself on fire Wednesday afternoon in Cedar Hill.
Cedar Hill Police Lt. Charles Reiss said Dunn was armed with a bottle of flammable liquid when he set himself and officer McSwain on fire. Witnesses rushed to help officer McSwain.

Officer McSwain was severely burned in the attack and remains at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, which has one of the country's top burn units.
Another officer shot Dunn, who also remains in the hospital.
