Police who were alerted by a passenger’s cell phone call intercepted a passenger bus and arrested an 18-year-old woman who had been holding the driver at knifepoint, authorities said.
The woman was disarmed by the driver and two passengers before the State Patrol and other officers stopped the bus in southwestern Minnesota. The three were taken to a Sioux Falls, S.D., hospital for treatment of knife cuts, authorities said.
The woman was identified by police as Jewel Anna Stands, of Pennsylvania. She was taken to a hospital, according to the Rock County Sheriff’s Department. The department, however, did not say whether she was injured.
