Jackie Chan will receive an honorary Oscar at this year's annual Academy Governors Awards, scheduled for Nov. 12, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced today. While the martial arts star has won various accolades at the Hong Kong Film Awards, the People's Choice Awards, and other ceremonies, Chan has not received an Academy Award.

Chan, who found success with American audiences following his role in "Rumble in the Bronx" and the "Rush Hour" films, had already amassed a near 30-year film career before his Hollywood break in the 1990s. As of today, Jackie Chan has 131 acting credits, 77 stunt credits, and 45 producing credits, according the Internet Movie Database, with projects scheduled for release in the latter half of 2016 through the end of 2017.
