In a statement issued in the wake of Charlie Sheen's targeted rage toward "Two and a Half Men" producer Chuck Lorre, CBS announced that production of the show would stop for the remainder of the season. Sheen sent a text message from the Bahamas to "Good Morning America" saying he was going back to work on March 1 anyway. If he does, he won't get much of a reception. "There will be no changing our minds on this," said one well-placed source at CBS. "It is over for the season."

But what about next season? "That is TBD," said the source. "Upfronts are in May, but that's a conversation that's really yet to be had."

The source went on to say that Sheen's troubles have been a disturbance for the show for quite some time. "We've tried with him, we really have. But this isn't an isolated incident that started and began with yesterday's phone call. It's been a year of really trying to work with him. But you can't reason with him anymore. The phone calls prove that. He's delusional. It's really quite sad, and a lot of innocent people are going to get hurt professionally because of him."
