Sacconaghi said there’s a “reasonable probability” that Apple could miss analysts’ estimates for revenue for its third-quarter results.
Apple has seen two strong quarters of sales for the iPhone 4S and so sales for that product may see a lull. Also, the iPad has only just come out in China -- a development that, if it had happened earlier, would have boosted sales significantly.
A weak economic environment is another factor that could weigh on revenue, Sacconaghi said.
Watch out for a possible drop in Apple’s stock price, Sacconaghi added. The last time Apple missed revenue estimates, last year, its share price fell about 6 percent, he added.
