Each model will be available in your choice of white or black and the Wi-Fi + 3G models will come in AT&T and Verizon flavors.

You'll be able to purchase an iPad 2 through Apple.com beginning at 1 a.m. PT / 4 a.m. ET on March 11 — yes, that's tomorrow — and at 5 p.m. local time in Apple's retail locations, Best Buy, Target, Walmart and select Apple Authorized Resellers. According to a report by TechCrunch, Verizon and AT&T stores will start selling the gadget at the same time as well.

If you are intending on purchasing one of the Wi-Fi + 3G iPad 2 models, you should keep in mind that there are additional charges for the data plans.

AT&T offers two basic options:

Monthly statements: $14.99 for 250 MB or $25 for 2 GB. Customers who exceed their monthly data allotment will be billed $14.99 for another 250MB on the $14.99 plan or $10 per 1 GB of overage on the 2 GB plan.

Credit card billing: $14.99 for 250 MB or $25 for 2 GB. Customers who exceed their monthly data allotment may choose to purchase another 250 MB on the $14.99 plan or purchase an additional 2 GB for $25 on the 2 GB plan.

And Verizon offers a set of tiered plans:

Monthly Usage Cost Data Allowance
