Kim Jong Un Scaled North Korea's Mt. Paektu, State-Run Media Report

North Korea’s leader Kim Jong Un scaled his country’s highest mountain in time to watch the sun rise over his country, according to state-run media.

Kim was accompanied to the 9,022-foot summit of Mt. Paektu by a group of fighter pilots, the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reported.

Pictures released by KCNA showed the smiling dictator against the backdrop of snowy mountains and a blazing sun.

Lying on the border with China, Mt. Paektu holds a sacred place in Korean folklore as the birthplace of the leader’s late father King Jong-il — though that has been disputed by historians.

Kim's was the latest apparent feat documented by the government news agency. Just last week it was claimed that Kim could drive a car by the age of three.
