Yoko Ono returned home from a hospital in New York Saturday, one day after being admitted with the flu.

Sean Ono Lennon wrote in a tweet around 5 p.m. that his mother was home from the hospital "and running about as usual." He thanked her supporters for their concern and joked, "I may go get a flu shot now."

Ono, 83, was admitted to Mount Sinai Roosevelt Hospital in Manhattan Friday night after her doctor recommend that she go because she was suffering from flu-like symptoms, her long-time spokesman, Elliot Mintz, told NBC News.

Some media reported that Ono had suffered a possible stroke, but her son quickly dismissed those rumors. "Hey guys it was only rumors from press: was NOT a stroke, just dehydration/tired. She is FINE," Ono Lennon wrote on Twitter.

He added in another tweet that was retweeted from his mother's account: "Only stroke @yokoono had was a Stroke of Genius!"

Ono was married to Beatle John Lennon from 1969, until his death in 1980. Ono, who is an artist, activist and singer, still lives in the building he was fatally shot outside of on Manhattan's Upper West Side.
