


Bangladeshi Muslims attend Eid al-Adha prayers at Baitul Mukarrom National Mosque in Dhaka on Tuesday. Muslims across the world celebrate the annual festival of Eid al-Adha, or the Festival of Sacrifice, which marks the end of the Hajj pilgrimage to Mecca and in commemoration of Prophet Abraham's readiness to sacrifice his son to show obedience to God.




A television journalist reports amidst the charred remains of passenger buses owned by a transport company from the neighboring Tamil Nadu state, after they were set on fire by a mob in Bangalore, capital of the southern Indian state of Karnataka, India on Tuesday. Incidents of looting and vandalism eased Tuesday in parts of India's information technology hub of Bangalore after authorities imposed a curfew amid widespread protests overnight over India's top court ordering the southern state of Karnataka to release water from a disputed river to the neighboring state.
