LAS VEGAS – As the second day of the Republican National Convention gets underway Tuesday, Hillary Clinton labeled the first night “surreal” and compared the event’s theatrics to the film “The Wizard of Oz.”

“There were similarities that appeared to me. You know, lots of sound and fury, even a fog machine, but when you pulled back the curtain it was just Donald Trump with nothing to offer to the American people,” she said to thousands of union members gathered here for the annual AFSCME convention.

Clinton made the point that most of the speaking time on Monday at the RNC was spent “attacking” her and President Barack Obama “rather than making any kind of argument about the future we want to build for our country.”

She made no mention of the plagiarism scandal surrounding Melania Trump’s speech, but Clinton did dedicate most of her remarks Tuesday to slamming her Donald Trump's business record.

“Donald Trump may say he’s on the side of the working people but his actions say otherwise. Just look at the destruction his Atlantic City bankruptcies caused,” the former secretary of state said. “America is better than Donald Trump.”

Clinton also marked the sixth anniversary of the passing of Dodd-Frank and hit Trump for wanting to “tear up” the legislation and “let Wall Street run wild again."
