Motorola held an event Tuesday to show off three new phones in its Moto series: an updated Moto X (now the "Style") and Moto G, plus a new, battery-packed Moto X Play. The X Style features a 5.7-inch, 2560x1440 screen and a new 21-megapixel camera, as well as a bigger battery and LTE support for all carriers — which makes it a significant upgrade over last year's X. It'll set you back $400 when it ships in the fall.

The Moto X Play is a lot like the Style, but slightly smaller (the screen is 5.5 inches) and with slightly dialed-back specs — but the same camera, plus a much larger battery that Motorola claims will last for two days and provide eight hours of charge from just 15 minutes of plug time. Unfortunately there are no plans to bring the Play to the U.S. yet, but that could change.

Lastly, there's the updated Moto G, a low-cost model that offers a lot of bang for your buck. The 5-inch, 720p screen and less powerful guts won't blow anyone's mind, but the price might — it's just $180 and available now. It's even waterproof.

Like most Motorola phones these days, you can customize the colors and other features on the company's Moto Maker website.
