Verizon has announced the Droid Turbo, the carrier's latest flagship smartphone and one that may lay claim to the best specs on the market. The 5.2-inch screen has a 2560x1440 resolution, making it one of the sharpest out there. The battery is a massive 3900 mAh, giving it a purported 48 hours of life. Inside is the latest 2.7-GHz quad-core processor from Qualcomm, and on the outside is a 21-megapixel camera that shoots 4K video. Of course, whether the phone itself is attractive or fun to use is hard to say from the numbers, but it's certainly got an impressive list of features.

We'll have to see how it holds up to the likes of Apple's iPhone 6 and Google's Nexus 6, but the Droid Turbo, built by Motorola Mobility, will almost certainly give them a run for their money. Starting Thursday, you'll be able to get a 32 GB one on Verizon for $199 with a two-year contract or a 64 GB version for $50 more.
